I didn’t take a straight path to becoming a vet. Before Comfy Critters, I was a teacher, a ranger, and a science communicator.
Every role taught me something different, but the thread was always the same: animals, people and connection.
As a vet, I’ve worked in general practice, emergency and mobile care. Those jobs gave me experience, but what they also gave me was clarity. What matters most to me isn’t quick fixes or the rush of the clinic. It’s being able to slow down, meet pets where they are, and support families through the hard stuff with calm and compassion. That’s why I started Comfy Critters - to make this part of life gentler, less scary, and full of dignity for pets and the people who love them.
Outside of vet life, I find balance in lifting heavy things.
I train and compete in Strongman, which means doing some pretty wild stuff like pulling trucks, pressing logs, and lifting boulders.
I also do Olympic weightlifting, which is a constant reminder of patience and humility - chasing technical skill, getting it wrong, and slowly getting stronger.
Both sports keep me grounded and resilient, which matters when I’m holding space for families in emotional moments.
Whenever I can, I head outdoors. Hiking, diving, snorkelling and camping keep me connected to Australia’s incredible wild places.
I’ve even joined ORRCA to help protect our marine life — because whether it’s pets, wildlife or the people who care for them, I believe every life deserves compassion.
This is me: curious, strong, compassionate, and deeply committed to walking alongside pets and families in life’s final chapter.
