We offer calm, compassionate care in the comfort of home where you and your pet feel safest. That might mean relief from pain, support with mobility, or guidance through the final goodbye.

Wherever you’re at, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If this sounds like the kind of care you’ve been looking for, we’d love to

How I found my way here

Before I became a vet, I was a high school teacher, a park ranger, and a science communicator.

It wasn’t a straight path, but looking back, every step makes sense. Whether I was teaching students about ecosystems or talking to park visitors about wildlife, it was always the stories of animals that lit people up.

That’s where I found connection.

And that’s what I’ve carried with me - a love of sharing knowledge, building trust, and helping people feel more connected to the animals they care about.

Why I created Comfy Critters

I’ve worked in general practice, emergency and mobile care, and over time, I saw just how much better end-of-life care could be.

There’s so much pressure in vet clinics. So much rushing. And I’ve seen what happens when families don’t get the space, support or softness they deserve. I experienced it myself.

So I’ve built something different. A practice that slows things down. That meets pets and their people where they - literally and emotionally.

I give families time, clarity and calm in some of the hardest moments of their lives. And this work means everything to me.

The work is heavy -
so I train for it

Training is a big part of my life. I compete in Strongman and Olympic weightlifting - sports that challenge both body and mind.

It’s not just about lifting heavy things (like pulling trucks or lifting boulders). It’s about showing up. Building strength with patience and persistence.

This work - walking alongside pets and families at the end of life - asks a lot: physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Training helps me carry that weight. It keeps me steady, so I can show up wholeheartedly, again and again.

The wild reminds me who I am

When I need to reset, I head outside. Hiking, camping, diving, snorkelling - nature is where I feel most calm, most curious,
most me.

I seek out wild places and wild creatures. I go looking for vast horizons, majestic views, salt water, birdsong. The kind of awe that reminds me how small we are and how deeply connected we are to this world.

Nature brings me back to myself. It fills my cup so I can show up with care, presence and compassion - for every pet, and every person I meet.

This is me: wholehearted, curious, steady. I’m here to walk beside you and your pet with kindness, to the very end and beyond.
