Why choose
Comfy Critters Home Vet?

When your pet is getting older or becomes unwell, it can feel like you’re stuck between two options: try to fix it or say goodbye.

But there’s often another way - a gentler path that focuses on comfort, connection and quality of life.

At Comfy Critters, we focus exclusively on senior pets.
We offer slow, personalised care at home where you both feel the most safe and settled. Whether you’re looking for reassurance, help easing symptoms, or support through those final days, we’re here to walk that path with you.

What makes us different?

  • Unhurried visits: we’ll take the time your pet needs (and then some).

  • Fear-free handling: gentle low-stress care at home in familiar surroundings where your pet feels most at ease.

  • Clear, practical guidance: we help you understand what’s going on and make a plan together about what to do next.

  • Grief and legacy support: saying goodbye is never easy. We’ll help you honour your pet’s life in a way that’s meaningful to you, with rituals, reflection and space to feel it all.

  • Compassionate end-of-life care: it’s not just about one day. We’re here for the lead-up, the farewell, and the grief that follows

This isn’t just vet care.

It’s whole-hearted, whole-of-life support - for both of you.

Meet Dr Allie

Hi, I’m Allie, the vet behind Comfy Critters.

My heart is in caring for senior pets and the families who love them.

I know how hard it can be to face changes, make tough decisions, and prepare for goodbyes.

I believe that every pet β€” and their family β€” deserves comfort, dignity and love right to the very end.

Before I became a vet, I was a teacher, ranger and travelling science communicator. Whatever the role, it has always been about animals, people and connection. Now I bring that same curiosity and care into my veterinary work, blending clinical knowledge with compassion and a deep respect for the bond we share with our pets.

I created Comfy Critters to offer families more than just medicine.

I want to give familes time, space, reassurance, gentle guidance. And wholehearted support through one of the most meaningful chapters of life with your beloved companion.
